Mine a Mountain Bombs

Compare the currently documented Mine a Mountain bombs, community-reported prices and effects, and a live profitability test.

Bombs in Mine a Mountain are community-documented cash purchases used to open terrain or create special crystal opportunities. A July 9 guide lists eight Bombs, but the official Roblox description does not publish their prices or effects. Read every row as Community reported and confirm the current Bomb Shop before spending.

Buy and use a Bomb deliberately

Complete ordinary sell runs until the Bomb cost is affordable without destroying the account’s next essential upgrade. At base, open the current Bomb Shop, match the product name, read its live description, and confirm whether it is a one-use item. Carry enough free Backpack capacity to collect the expected result.

Choose a familiar mountain area with a safe return. Place or trigger the Bomb only through the live control prompt. Observe terrain change, crystal creation, mutation labels, player movement, and whether the item is consumed. Then collect what fits and complete a sale.

Calculate a real result

Subtract the Bomb’s current cost from the cash generated by crystals you actually carried and sold. Do not count every crystal visible in the crater if capacity, cold, another player, or the hourly reset prevents collection. Also compare the time with an ordinary run.

A Bomb can still be useful when the first test is not immediate profit—for example, if it creates a Plot crystal you decide to keep—but record that outcome separately. Do not call the whole blast profitable by assigning an invented cash value to luck.

Elemental and mutation claims

Community mutation guides connect Ice, Fire, Thunder, and Poison Bombs with Frost, Fire, Thunder, and Poison mutations. One source reports a 30% chance for affected crystals, while the audit requires all exact rates to be tested. This page therefore does not guarantee a mutation, multiplier, or affected-object rule.

When the live game shows a mutation label, record the Bomb, crystal, visible result, and date. The Mutations Index separates documented names from exact values that remain community-reported.

Choose by account stage

Use ordinary Pickaxe mining until the cash loop is stable. Test the cheapest useful Bomb before jumping to a higher tier. If the blast produces more than the Backpack can carry, improve capacity or plan a squad collection route before spending more. If cold ends collection, improve Warmth or use a lower, safer blast area.

High reported cost does not guarantee the best return for the current account. Route access, carrying, contest from other players, and sale timing determine what reaches the bank.

Avoid common Bomb mistakes

  • Copying the July 9 price without checking the live shop.
  • Buying a high-tier Bomb with money needed for a durable blocker upgrade.
  • Detonating near a cliff or hole without a recovery path.
  • Filling the Backpack before the blast.
  • Assuming every crystal in the radius receives a mutation.
  • Calling community rarity or multiplier data official.
  • Starting a test near the hourly change without banking important inventory.

Bombs, Runes, and paid products

Community Rune documentation reports a Detonation Rune that increases crystal spawns from Bombs and an Excavator Rune that increases blast radius. Those exact effects are not first-party and need current testing. Record active Runes when comparing Bomb results.

The official Game Pass API separately lists x2 Crystals and other paid products. A paid modifier can change the blast result, so disclose it. Use the Runes Index and Gamepasses Index before comparing another player’s result with yours.
